Sinan Helvacı (born October 8, 1990) is a Paris-based filmmaker, former actor, and multidisciplinary artist.

He studied cinema at Saint Vincennes University, theatre at the Sorbonne University, and acting in English at the Cours Florent Conservatory in Paris. He later completed his MA in Acting for Screen at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London.

Helvacı began his career as an actor, appearing in numerous film and television productions including Kapı (2019, dir. Nihat Durak), Kadın (2019), Alef (2020, dir. Emin Alper), Sen Çal Kapımı (2021), Altay (2022, dir. Ezel Akay), and the acclaimed Turkish TV series Öyle Bir Geçer Zaman Ki (2008). In 2024, he starred in Kumbaba, directed by Can Köroğlu, portraying one of the two leading roles.

Transitioning behind the camera, Helvacı wrote and directed several short films including Remarkable (2016), Kantsaywhere (2017), and L’inertie (Atalet, 2023). His 2022 documentary Yarın İçin: Toprak focuses on the present and future of agriculture in Turkey, exploring sustainable farming and permaculture principles as a means to restore the relationship between humans and the soil. In 2024, he starred in another short film, Kumbaba, directed by Can Köroğlu, portraying one of the two leading roles.

Helvacı is currently in pre-production for Le Sable (2025), a poetic feature project he is writing and directing.

In 2024, he founded HLVC Films, a personal art project dedicated to author-driven cinema.

Fluent in Turkish, French, and English, Helvacı continues to work between Paris and Istanbul, developing projects that bridge artistic expression with ecological and existential inquiry.
